Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Mayor of Ramadi, Ibrahim al-Awsaj, announced on Thursday, that there are more than six thousand residential units totally destructed in the district.

Awsaj said in a press statement, “More than six thousand residential units are totally destroyed in Ramadi district, due to terrorist and military operations, as well as nearly 42 thousand residential units partially destructed in the district.”

“The destroyed units were checked according to the registration rules inside Ramadi, and also we have the names of these properties’ owners,” Awsaj added.

The city of Ramadi was freed by the security forces late last year from the ISIS control. The terrorist group and military operations inflicted significant damage on city’s infrastructure.
