Saudi delegation arrives in Baghdad for participation in coordination meeting
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – A Saudi delegation arrived Wednesday in Baghdad to take part in the second session of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council, Al-Madar News website reported.
The delegation, grouping a galaxy of Saudi businessmen and nearly 100 government figures, was received at Baghdad International Airport by Saudi Culture Minister Abdul Amir al-Hamdani.
The delegation members will convene on the sidelines of the meeting with Iraqi President Barham Salih, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi and Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohammed al-Halbousi.
The first session of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council was held in October 2017 under the patronage of Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, former Iraqi prime minister Haider al-Abadi and former US secretary of state Red Tillerson.
The council aims to enhance relations between the two brotherly countries in all fields and coordinate efforts to serve the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
It also aims to promote the exchange of technical expertise between the two countries and enhance cooperation in the field of scientific research.
