Tamim: Education ministry spends 98% of budget
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Education Mohammed Tamim assured that his ministry spent 98% of the budget allocated for the Ministry in 2012.
A statement by the Ministry received by IraqiNews.com quoted Tamim as saying “The budget allocated IQD 455 billion for the investment projects, including IQD 50 billion have been transferred to Basra province, and the Ministry of Education spent IQD 405 billion of the budget which represents 98%.”
Tamim added “The Committee formed by the office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affiars granted the Ministry of Education IQD 150 billion on November 10th without any request from the Ministry of Education but we are trying to set early plans for spending this financial grant on proper items.”
“Any report issued to defy this fact is groundless since we have official documents approved by the Ministries of Planning and Finance to prove our claims,” Minister Tamim concluded.
