Thief sentenced to life in prison

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Rusafa Criminal Court sentenced to life in prison a defendant for breaking into and robbing a house.The Supreme Judicial Council reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The detainee in cooperation with other defendants stormed the house of the victim and stole IQD (75) million, golden jewelry and a weapon,” noting that “The robbery occurred at night and at gunpoint.””Based on the evidences of the case and the testimony of the victim’s wife who identified the thieves, the court sentenced the criminal to life in prison according to Iraqi penal Code,” the statement added. \
