Tuesday holiday in Karbala, Diwaniya, Babel, Wasit, Maysan, Dhi-Qar

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The local authorities in provinces of Karbala, Babil, Diwaniya, Wasit, Dhi Qar and Maysan considered Tuesday a public holiday on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of Imam Muhammad bin al-Hasan al-Mahdi, peace be upon them.

Muslims celebrate in the middle of the month of Shaaban the anniversary of the birth of Imam Mahdi in Karbala, where the shrines of Imam Hussein and Imam Abbas, peace be upon them are located.

The Directorate of Health of Karbala province announced starting the implementation of the plan dedicated for the visit.

Baghdad Command Operations began on Sunday the implementation of its plan to ensure pilgrims’ security from Baghdad to Karbala.

The Ministry of Transportation has announced last Friday the allocation of 300 buses to transport visitors of Karbala back to their homes on Tuesday.
