Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Commission of Integrity (COI) uncovered a new corruption case involving the Interior Minister’s Deputy Adnan al-Asadi, Hamid al-Najar, and a corruption icon of Saddam’s regime, Asil Tabra.

The COI uncovered that the Interior Minister’s Deputy Adnan al-Asadi issued a ministerial order in consent of the former deputy at this time to exclude Sama’a Ardul Watan Company which belongs to Asil Tabra from the standard conditions of tender and contract and allow his company an exclusive tender to buy 6,000 Ford F-350 vehicles. The contract shows the price of the vehicles as $55,000 per car, however the car was being sold in Baghdad for $35,000, which indicates the price difference of selling 6000 vehicles; $120,000,000 was basically shared in illicit kickbacks among the people who had power at this time and controlled Iraqis’ lives.
