The Rev. David Hormuz, pastor of the Church of Saints stressed that “we gathered for the dedication ceremony of this church to perform liturgy and rites and this is a message to all Christians and to all Iraqis that the church is still vibrant.”
A Christian citizen indicated “that Christianity remains vibrant and active” that she wished for security to prevail in Iraq.
Christians desire national unity and the rejection of extremism that would undermine harmony among Iraq’s diverse people.
