Wasit PC allocates funds to launch popular poetry festival

Wasit (IraqiNews.com) The Provincial Council of Wasit province decided to allocate IQD four million to establish a popular poetry festival.The Head of Popular Poets in Wasit, Hussein al-Bahadly, reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The council allocated the amount to establish the popular poetry festival at the hall of Local Administration with the participation of folk poets from different Iraqi provinces.””The council provided all the requirements of holding the festival and will handle the expenses of transporting the poets fro their provinces, ” noting that ”The council will grant the poets shields and appreciation certificates,” the statement added. \END\
