35000 security elements to conduct Najaf security plan

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The Police Command of Najaf province announced tightening its security measures to secure the rituals of the Imam Ali martyrdom’s ceremony.

The Media Director of Najaf Police Command Captain Muqdad al-Musawy stated to IraqiNews.com on that ”The Police Command summoned all the forces of Defense Ministry and Interior Ministry as well as the national security and declared the high alert condition in order to double the efforts coinciding with the start of rituals.”

He added that ”The new security plan included involving female elements to search woman and so on,” noting that “The number of all security forces to implement the security plan reached (35,000) elements.”

Najaf province will witness arrival of thousands pilgrims from inside Iraq and abroad to conduct the rituals of the Imam Ali martyrdom’s ceremony.”
