1 cop killed, 3 injured in Falluja

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: One policeman was killed on Saturday and three others were wounded in clashes with unknown gunmen at a checkpoint south of Falluja city. “The clashes occurred today in central al-Amiriya district, south of Falluja,” a local security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He noted that the gunmen used light and heavy arms in the attack. “The armed men were able to escape to an unknown place after they launched the attack,” the source added. He explained that security forces carried out a search campaign within the attack area looking for the gunmen. Falluja, the biggest city of Anbar province, lies 45 km west of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 2
