11 Gunmen killed, arrested due to Baquba armed clashes

Diyala, Baquba (IraqiNews.com) The armed clashes which took place on last Wednesday between the Iraqi Army forces and gunmen in Hadid area resulted in killing and arresting eleven gunmen while eight elements of the Iraqi Army were killed.

Security source mentioned in statement to IraqiNews.com that ”The armed clashes which took place in Hadid area resulted in killing eight gunmen while eight others were arrested along with their vehicles and weapons.”

The source added that ”Eight elements of the Iraqi Army forces were killed due to the armed clashes.”

The IA force clashed with the armed group in al-Hadid area (9 km) away from Baquba district on last Wednesday.

The clash resulted in killing and injuring some persons and hitting a warplane belongs to the IA.

Hadid area which contains many orchards witnessed on the past few years many assassination and people displacing as well as many Qaeda’s military parades.
