12 security elements killed in bombing south of Samarra

(IraqiNews.com) Salah AL-Dien – A security source in Salahuddin province announced on Tuesday, that 12 elements of the police and al-Hashed al-Shaabi forces had been either killed or wounded in the explosion of a booby-trapped tank south of Samarra.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “a booby-trapped tank exploded, at noon today, when a joint patrol of the Federal Police and al-Hashed al-Shaabi forces was passing in Thar-Thar area (25 km south of Samarra), killing two elements of the Federal Police and wounding 10 elements of al-Hashed al-Shaabi.”
The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added: ” the security forces transferred the bodies to the forensic medicine department and the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment.”
