14 wounded in Kirkuk blast flown to Turkey- medic

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Fourteen persons who were wounded in last week’s Kirkuk deadly blast were flown to Turkey for treatment, a senior medic said on Saturday. “Fourteen of the wounded today were flown aboard a private plan to Turkey from the coalition forces’ base airport in the province,” Sabah Amir al-Dawoudy told IraqiNews.com. “Those wounded are in critical condition,” Dawoudy explained, adding “The president has allocated $1,000 U.S. dollars to their next of kin.” On Thursday, Kirkuk, 250 km northeast of Baghdad, witnessed a suicide blast in a restaurant in the city, leaving 45 people killed and 105 others wounded in a recent count of casualties reported by medics.
