 Security forces kill 8 ISIS elements in western Anbar

(IraqiNews.com) The commander of Assad Brigade, Gen. Hamad Abdul-Razzaq al-Dulaimi, announced on Friday the killing of eight members of the “ISIS” during clashes in western Anbar.

Dulaimi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “A force from Assad Brigade had managed to repel an attack by ISIS on the defensive lines for our troops in the area of Burwana in Haditha District (160 km west of Ramadi),” adding that, “Violent confrontations and clashes took place between the brigade and elements of ISIS, resulting in the death of eight members of the organization and the escape of others after taking material and human losses.”
