Over 15 workers poisoned by chlorine gas in Sulaymaniyah
A rescuer deals with a chlorine gas leak accident.
Sulaymaniyah (IraqiNews.com) A medical source in Sulaymaniyah province revealed, that more than 150 workers were poisoned due to leakage of chlorine gas from one of steels factories in the province, Alsumaria News reported on Monday.
The source told Alsumaria News that the medical center in the area of Bazian in Sulaymaniyah received more than workers at one of steel industry’s factories, who were poisoned due to leakage of chlorine gas.”
The leakage happened due to the explosion of a gas cylinder containing chorine gas inside the factory, the source added.
The state of workers is stable, while concerned authorities opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident,” the source explained.
