16 wanted persons arrested in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen captured 16 persons wanted on “criminal and terrorist” charges in Basra on Thursday, the Basra police media office said. “Basran policemen conducted search raids in different areas of the province, arresting 16 on charges of involvement in criminal and terrorist cases,” the office told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Three among the 16 persons captured were three smuggling small amounts of kerosene in the area of Abi al-Khaseeb, (20 km) southern Basra,” the source added.
