2 al-Naqshabandiya group wanted men arrested in Makhmour

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi army forces on Thursday arrested two wanted men of al-Naqshabandiya group in west of Makhmour district in northern Iraq, an army source said. “Iraqi army forces waged on Thursday (Mar. 12) a security operation in Diyozani village in west of Makhmour district, where they arrested two al-Naqshabandiya group gunmen,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Al-Naqshabandiya is a group that introduces itself as an Islamic spiritual dogmatic organization, but its ideologies changed into ones of armed struggle against the occupation forces. Makhmour is one of the disputed areas between the central government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG). It is administratively affiliated with Ninewa province and lies 68 km southwest of Arbil, the capital city of Kurdistan, which is 362 km northeast of Baghdad. SH (S)/SR 1
