2 civilians killed in militant attacks northeast of Baqubah

(IraqiNews.com) Diyali – A local source in Diyali province said on Tuesday, that two civilians had been killed in two separate incidents northeast of Baqubah.
The source, who requested anonymity, said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “This evening, unidentified gunmen opened their fire against an elder man in an orchard near the area of al-Ukhowa east of al-Maqdadeiyah District (35 km northeast of Baqubah), resulting in the immediate death.”
The source added, “This evening, other militants killed a young man near his house in central al-Maqdadeiyah,” noting that, “The two dead bodies were transferred to the forensic medicine authority.”
