22 pilgrims killed, wounded in Baghdad blast
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two pilgrims returning from a visit to the Imam Musa al-Kadhim shrine were killed and 20 others wounded in an improvised explosive device attack in eastern Baghdad on Thursday, according to a police source. “The charge went off as a bus carrying (Shiite) pilgrims was passing by on Falasteen street, eastern Baghdad, leaving two killed and 20 others injured,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Security forces sealed off the blast scene while ambulances were carrying the wounded to al-Kindi, al-Sadr and Ibn al-Nafees hospitals,” he added.
