29 wanted men arrested, ammo seized in Basra
BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Twenty-nine wanted men on Sunday were captured and an amount of arms and ammunition was seized during a security operation that covered different parts of Basra province, according to a local security official. “On Sunday, forces from the Iraqi police and army conducted a wide-scale raid in Nahr Khouz area of Abi al-Khaseeb (15 km south of Basra city),” the director of the relations and media office in Basra police, Abdulkareem el-Zaidi, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Twenty-nine wanted men were arrested, including six on terror-related charges,” Zaidi noted. “Six improvised explosive devices (IEDs), 10 rifles and a pistol were found inside the house of one of those arrested,” Zaidi added.
