3 civilians, cop, soldier wounded in separate incidents
NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Five persons, including a policeman and a soldier, were wounded in separate incidents in Mosul city, a security source said on Sunday. “Gunmen opened fire on a police checkpoint in al-Midan area, downtown Mosul, wounding three persons, including a policeman and a woman,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Meanwhile, a civilian was injured when gunmen shot him in front of his house in Tal al-Romman area, southwestern Mosul,” according to the same source. “An Iraqi soldier was wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted his vehicle in Dorat al-Yarmouk area, western Mosul,” according to another source. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. SS (P) 1
