30 ISIS fighters, senior leaders killed in drone strike near Mosul

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A security source in Nineveh province stated on Sunday, that 30 ISIS militants were killed, including the military commander in Nineveh and four other leaders who hold an Arabic citizenship.

The source said, “This evening, an American remotely piloted aircraft struck an ISIS camp located in Makhmour, 90 km south east of al-Mosul, and resulted in 30 deaths among ISIS fighters which included Abu Anas al-Kurdi, a known  military commander, and four other military leaders who hold citizenship from various GCC countries.”

Noteworthy, Iraq witnesses a severe decline in security since the government declared the state of emergency on June 10th 2014, after ISIS had invaded large expanses of territories in Nineveh and Salahuddin provinces, which resulted in hundreds of thousands of Iraqi refugees and displaced families.
