31 killed, wounded in Karbala blasts

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: One person on Wednesday was killed and 30 others were wounded in the blasts that rocked Karbala province earlier today, according to a local security source. “The first blast occurred in al-Dahan market, the second only 50 meters from the first, while the third explosion occurred near al-Ahyaa garage in al-Mukhayyam area (500 meters west of Imam al-Abbas shrine),” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The holy Shiite city of Karbala lies 110 southwest of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
