4 al-Qaeda elements nabbed in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Security forces on Tuesday arrested four al-Qaeda gunmen in central Karbala, the province’s governor said. “Security authorities, using accurate intelligence information on a possible attack by the four gunmen on Shiite visitors,” Engineer Amal al-Din al-Herr told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The information assert that the gunmen were planning to attack Shiite visitors during Imam al-Hussein Arbaeen, scheduled on February 5,” he added. “Investigations are underway with them to learn about all their movements and the bodies which finance and support them,” he said.
