4 armed cells dismantled before targeting Shiite visitors

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Security authorities managed to dismantle four armed cells, which were planning to target Shiite visitors in Karbala, chairman of the local council said on Wednesday. “Four terrorist cells belong to three armed groups; al-Qaeda, the Islamic Army and al-Awda Party, by security forces in Karbala,” Mohammad Hamid al-Moussawi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The four cells contain 45 elements and were planning to launch attacks on Shiite visitors in Karbala,” he added.
