4 killed, 6 wounded in Iraq in 24 hours

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Four cops were killed and six persons wounded throughout Iraq during the last 24 hours, according to security sources that spoke to IraqiNews.com news agency. In eastern Mosul city, a car rigged with explosives was detonated targeting a police vehicle patrol in al-Baath neighborhood in eastern Mosul, killing four policemen and injuring three, including an officer. In central Kirkuk, unknown armed men opened fire on a house in al-Mosala neighborhood, injuring a man and his wife, who were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. In Diwaniya, the city’s hospital received an unknown body of a civilian that bore signs of strangulation in Ghamas area. The hospital also received a civilian who was wounded by a gunshot in al-Hamza area, south of Diwaniya, while was on his way to the holy city of Karbala to attend a Shiite religious occasion there.
