4 out of 8 Rutba detainees handed over to Anbar police after attack on bus in Anbar Province
ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: A joint force from Anbar and Karbala Police has handed over 4 of the 8 persons, detained after Nukheib attack, after their release, an Anbar Council member reported on Saturday. “A Joint force from Anbar and Karbala Provinces has handed over 4 of the Rutba detainees to the Anbar Police Command,” Muzhir Hussein told IraqiNews.com news agency, adding that the forthcoming few hours shall witness the handing over of all detainees to their relatives, after their innocence was proved from the Nuheib incident, in a decision by Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki. A Joint Force had carried out an operation in Rutba township, detaining 20 persons, including Sheikhs Abdul-Alim Hamid and Abdul-Hakim al-Duleimy of Rutba Mosques, thing that pushed the Anbar Administration to accuse Karbala Council with having been behind the operation, as an attempt to revenge for the Nukheib victims. Noteworthy is that 22 men have been killed by a terrorist gang that attacked a bus, carrying 40 passengers on their way back for Karbala from Syria, after forcing women and children out of the bus and killing all the men that were taken away from the bus last Monday.
