4 people killed, 3 wounded in Iraq in 24 hours

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Four people were killed and three others were wounded while a corpse was found in violent acts that took place throughout Iraq during the past 24 hours, according to security sources. In Ninewa, Unknown gunmen on Thursday killed the mayor of Doberdan village of Baasheqa district, east of Mosul city, said a security source from Ninewa province. A security source said Thursday that police forces found an unidentified body with signs of having been shot north of Mosul city. In central Iraq, a U.S. soldier died from non-combat related causes, raising U.S. fatalities in March to six soldiers, according to a statement from the U.S. army on Friday. In Babel, a police source said a civilian was killed and another one was injured on Friday by unknown gunmen in northwest of Hilla. In Falluja, a suicide bomber on Friday blew himself up targeting the house of a chieftain of Albu-Eissa tribe, killing one policeman and wounding two of the chieftain’s guards, according to a police source.
