4 soldiers wounded in Baghdad’s 3rd blast
BAGHDAD, Sept. 21 (Iraqi News) – Four Iraqi soldiers on Sunday were wounded in an explosive charge attack that targeted their patrol vehicle in northeastern Baghdad, the third explosion to rock the Iraqi capital today. “An improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unknown men on a main road in al-Waziriya neighborhood, northeastern Baghdad, detonated while an Iraqi army patrol vehicle was passing the location, wounding four patrolmen and causing damage to the vehicle,” a security source, who requested anonymity, told IraqiNews.com – Voices of Iraq – (Iraqi News). “Security forces sealed off the area of the blast and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital,” the source explained. Earlier today, an explosive charge detonated near the building of al-Bayyina newspaper, the mouthpiece of Hezbollah- Iraq Organization, in downtown Baghdad, but no casualties were reported.
