4 wanted men arrested, IED defused in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Four wanted men were arrested on criminal charges in different parts of Basra and an explosive device was defused in the northern part of the province, according to the media office of Basra’s police. “A vehicle was seized during the operations,” the office told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Anti-explosives police squads defused an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in front of a house in al-Deir area (35 km north of Basra),” it added.
