4 wanted men netted south of Amara
MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi army forces captured four wanted men during a search raid conducted south of al-Amara city on Monday, a high-level military official said. “Military forces of the 10 th Division’s 38 th Brigade launched a wide-scale search campaign in al-Majar al-Kabeer district, (40 km) south of Amara, arresting four wanted persons with four unregistered vehicles in their possession,” Maj. General Nabil Yaseen al-Zaydi told IraqiNews.com. The forces, Zaydi added, also seized fake documents, 12 Kalashnikov assault rifles and various munitions. “Three army contingents participated in this campaign,” he said. Missan is a Shiite province. Its capital city is al-Amara. Sitting on the Tigris River , Amara lies 390 km south of Baghdad . Missan, in the east of the country, bordering Iran , is home to many marsh Arabs. AmR (P) 1
