40 wanted men arrested in Wassit
WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Security forces in Wassit arrested 40 wanted men in a search raid in the district of al-Suwayra in the northern part of the province on Saturday, a security official said. “Interior ministry’s Quick Response Department personnel arrested 40 wanted men and seized two unlicensed civilian vehicles during a raid in al-Suwayra, (135 km) north of al-Kut city,” Cap. Majid Lateef, the department commander, told IraqiNews.com. “The wanted men were arrested by virtue of warrants issued by a court in Kut on charges of waging armed operations against Iraqi civilians and security forces,” Lateef added.
