58 criminals, terror suspects nabbed in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: A total of 58 wanted men have been arrested on criminal and terror-related charges in Karbala province, according to a local source. “Yesterday (June 2) evening and this morning, 58 suspects were captured in different parts of the city in accordance with arrest warrants,” the media director of Karbala’s police, Maj. Alaa Abbas, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Those arrested include 4 persons wanted on terror charges, eight on murder charges, 12 on drugs trafficking charges and five on arms trafficking charges,” the major added. The Shiite city of Karbala lies 110 km southwest of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
