6 al-Qaeda wanted men detained in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces on Wednesday arrested six al-Qaeda wanted men in central Baaquba, said a senior police officer. “Policemen waged a security operation on Wednesday morning (Mar. 18) targeting Jarf al-Malh region in central Baaquba, where they captured six al-Qaeda wanted men who were about to launch a Katyusha rocket against the U.S. base in central Baaquba,” General Abdul Hussein al-Shemri told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The region witnessed the distribution of leaflets of what is called the Islamic State of Iraq threatening governmental employees, policemen and soldiers,” he explained.
