6 wanted men nabbed, ammo found in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Six wanted men on Monday were arrested on criminal and terror-related charges in western and downtown Basra city, according to the media office of the local police. “Police forces conducted search raids in different parts of Basra, and arrested four men on criminal charges, and seized five hand grenades on a main road in al-Shuayba area (40 km west of Basra),” the office told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Meanwhile, a joint force raided a house in al-Muwafaqiya area, downtown Basra, and captured two men on terrorism charges,” it added.
