We have 7 F16 fighter jets in USA says Iraq Defense Minister

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi announced on Sunday, that Iraq possesses seven F16 fighter jets in the United States, while pointed out that Iraq does not own the proper bases to receive those fighter jets.

Obeidi said in press statements followed by IraqiNews.com, “Iraq has seven F16 Fighter jets in Arizona, United States,” noting that, “The Iraqi flag is on them.”

Al-Obeidi continued, “The reason for the delay in receiving these jets is that we don’t have suitable bases to have them,” adding that, “The company responsible for securing the base was available, but after the recent events in Mosul, it pulled out of the country.”
