8, including 2 Syrians, captured in Anbar

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Security forces arrested eight, including two Syrian nationals, were captured on charges of involvement in acts of violence and seized three arms caches in al-Anbar province on Saturday, according to a local security source. “Security forces in Anbar conducted a search raid, arresting eight suspected of involvement in terrorist activities, including two Syrians,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The raid, which covered the areas of al-Qaem as well as al-Tharthar, al-Falluja, al-Karma and al-Amiriya districts, also resulted in the seizure of three arms caches that contained Katyusha rockets, improvised explosive devices and explosive material,” the source added. The troubled predominantly Sunni province of al-Anbar lies 110 km west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P) 47
