8 killed, injured by suicide bombing in Basra

Basra (IraqiNews.com) The security committee in the Basra Governorate Council announced on Saturday the killing of two civilians and six others were injured by the explosion of two car bombs in the province.

The Committee Chairman, Jabbar al-Saadi said, in an interview for IraqiNews.com, that “The car bomb exploded, this evening, near the tourist restaurant in the area of Albradaah. One civilian was killed in the explosion and four others were injured,” noting that ” the second car bomb explosion was close to a number of hotels and shops on Istiklal Street. ”

Saadi explained that “the second explosion led to the death of one civilian and the wounding of two others,” adding that “the security forces imposed very strict procedures in all areas of the province against the backdrop of the terrorist attacks.”
