8 suspects arrested near Huweija
KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Eight suspects, including wanted men, were arrested with weapons and ammunition in their possession near Huweija district, a local security source said on Thursday. “In cooperation with National Security personnel, a local police force conducted a search raid in Mirbat village, Huweija district (65 km southwest of Kirkuk city), during which eight persons, including wanted men, were captured,” Brig. Sarhad Qadir told IraqiNews.com. “CDs containing material about the so-called al-Naqshabandiya group, three motorbikes, explosive charge detonators, three shells, two mortars, chemicals and sticky material were found in their possession,” Brig. Qadir added. Al-Naqshabandiya is a group that introduces itself as an Islamic spiritual dogmatic organization, but its ideologies changed into ones of armed struggle against the occupation forces.
