8 wanted men captured, munitions seized in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen in Basra arrested eight men wanted on “criminal and terrorist” charges while munitions and unlicensed vehicles were seized in security operations in different areas of the southern Iraq province on Saturday, a police spokesman said. “The police forces conducted massive search raids in different areas of the province, where they captured eight wanted persons,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Also in the raids, 17 mortar shells and seven unlicensed vehicles were seized,” he added.
