850 new policemen join training program in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The Police Academy at the U.S. Delta military base, (7 km) western Kut city, received 850 new trainees to enroll them in a new 2-month program as part of preparations to transfer security of Wassit to Iraqi authorities, the province’s police director said on Saturday. “Highly-qualified Iraqi trainers will supervise the program,” General Abulhaneen Hmod told IraqiNews.com. “After the end of the program, trainees will be distributed on areas of Wassit that suffer shortage in policemen,” he said.
