88 wanted persons, suspects captured in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Eighty-eight wanted men and suspects were captured and 29 unlicensed vehicles seized in a wide-scale security operation conducted in different areas of Basra province on Thursday, according to the Basra police information office. “The wanted persons and suspects were arrested on charges of involvement in terrorist ant criminal acts,” the office told IraqiNews.com. “The security forces also seized 29 unlicensed vehicles, one hand-grenade, a Kalashnikov assault rifle and an amount of light weapon munitions,” it added.
