9 people arrested in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Nine people were arrested on Tuesday by police forces in Kirkuk, a senior police officer said. “Policemen arrested nine people, including a woman and a leader of what is called the Islamic State of Iraq in separate areas of Kirkuk on Tuesday morning (Oct. 20),” Colonel Anwar Ahmad told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Four of them are residents of al-Dakmat village in Daqouq, south of Kirkuk, while the remaining five are residents of Wahed Houzayran neighborhood, southwestern Kirkuk,” he added. “The forces seized two vehicles and explosives materials that belong to the Islamic State of Iraq,” he said.
