9 wanted men arrested in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen arrested nine men wanted on “criminal” charges in different areas of Basra on Sunday, the Basra police information office said. “Police forces conducted search raids in different areas of Basra, arresting nine wanted on charges of involvement in criminal acts,” the office told IraqiNews.com. Meanwhile, the office said the Basra police on Sunday started a security plan on the occasion of Eidul-Adha envisaging the deployment of thousands of security personnel in public places, squares and markets in addition to intensifying checkpoints.
