9 wanted, suspects captured in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi army and police forces detained on Saturday nine wanted men and suspects in security operations conducted in separate areas of the city of Mosul, a source from the Ninewa Operations Command (NOC) said. “An Iraqi army force arrested five wanted men in al-Zohour neighborhood, eastern Mosul, and al-Tanak neighborhood, western Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “A force from the Iraqi army’s 3rd Division detained two wanted men in the district of al-Beiaj, western Mosul,” he added. The same source said a force from Ninewa police arrested today two wanted men after opening fire on them at a checkpoint in eastern Mosul, adding one of the two was injured.
