(IraqiNews.com) Naim Gaood, leader of Sunni tribe Albonmr in Anbar province in western Iraq said that, the tribe bought $900 thousand worth weapons at its own expense to arm members of the tribe to fight the elements of the ISIS organization in the city of Ramadi, demanding the central government to provide members of the tribe—who have reached more than 3,500 volunteers—with weapons and ammunition in their clashes with the organization.

Gaood explained, “The clan based in Baghdadi and Haditha districts in Ramadi, bought small and medium weapons for $900 thousand at its own expense, after selling its property and possessions in Baghdad to arm members of the tribe to continue fight and avenge those who killed our children from the ISIS elements and their collaborators.” He, however, did not mention the source of these weapons.
