America and allies kill tens of ISIS militants in air strike near Mosul
Mosul (IraqiNews.com) On Monday, Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced that tens of ISIS militants were killed in an air strike carried out by the U.S. and its allies in west of al-Mosul.
The ministry said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews, “The international coalition’s air campaign and Iraq’s General Intelligence Agency cooperated together and managed to kill tens of ISIS militants and destroy 8 armored vehicles belonged to the group. The operation was conducted in Sakina village near Sinjar, Mosul.”
Noteworthy, the leader of the ISIS group, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was reportedly injured and then moved to Syria on the back of air strikes that targeted him near al-Mosul, according to several media sources.
