Arms cache found, mortar shells defused in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Security forces found on Friday an arms cache and defused mortar shells in southern and western Karbala, a media police source said. “Acting on intelligence information, a security force raided al-Maqalaa region in al-Ghadier neighborhood, southern Karbala, where they found six boxes of ammunitions as well as different kinds of weapons,” Major Alaa al-Ghanemi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “They found 66 mortar shells in a desert area in western Karbala,” he added.
