Army forces besiege Salah al-Din council

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Army forces besieged and controlled the Salah al-Din council on Tuesday evening and prevented its head from entering it, the chairwoman of the council’s media committee said. “Iraqi army forces on Tuesday evening (Feb. 9) controlled the Salah al-Din council, carrying orders from the prime minister’s office to prevent Chairman Ahmad Abdullah Abdulmawjoud, who is currently in Baghdad, from entering the council,” Faten Abdulqader told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The council’s members decided to hold an urgent meeting on Wednesday (Feb. 10) to reject these measures,” she added.
