Army forces kill 21 ISIS militants in clashes northeast of Baqubah

Diyali (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, Dijla Operations Command announced, that 21 elements of the ISIS group have been killed during violent clashes in al-Hamrin Hills, located in northeast of Baqubah.

The Commander of Dijla Operations Gen. Officer Abdul-Amir al-Zaidi said, “Fierce clashes between the security forces backed by al-Hashed al-Sha’bi fighters and the ISIS group elements have broken out in the area of Hamrin Hills, located 53 km northeast of Baqubah,” noting that, “The clashes between the two sides resulted in killing 21 ISIS militants.”

“Dozens of ISIS militants were hiding in the tight valleys and caves of al-Hamrin Hills,” the source added.
